ICPM2020 Rome Postponed
Since our last announcement to postpone ICPM (International Conference on Pharmaceutical Medicine) 2020, the global COVID-19 pandemic has brought many countries to a standstill. The situation has already improved in some countries whereas deteriorated in others. Travel restrictions and limits to the holdings of public meetings, and other measures enacted to contain the spread of the virus, are continuing.
Although we hear good news of the expected medicines getting approved by international regulatory agencies and vaccines development is accelerated at its top level, we still see uncertainties in the control of this coronavirus infection around the world.
Based on the careful observation and analysis of the collected information, IFAPP (the International Federation of Associations of Pharmaceutical Physicians and Pharmaceutical Medicine) decided to cancel ICPM 2020. This decision is never easy, but we appreciate your understanding. For those who already registered to ICPM 2020, the administration office will contact you to help refund of payment.
We are now thinking positive by planning the development of the annual European regional meeting in the Spring of 2021. This meeting can be a good opportunity to unite all the efforts prepared for ICPM 2020 and help continue our development in Pharmaceutical Medicine.
Also, in September 2020, we will finalise our schedule of the next ICPM to be held in 2022 based on the updated information of infection control and feasibility of a public meeting. We will keep you updated.
Thank you for your continued support for the forthcoming ICPM and the National Conference, to be jointly organized.
